Meet the rest of the Zebra Corner crew. Talented and funny friends that we met through our comedy journey who’ve helped Zebra Corner become what it is.

Zac Townsend @smacktownsend

AKA Cousin Donnie from the Chevy Family Reunion Parody. Originally from the Northeast, Zac moved to Florida in 2013 to pursue writing and stand-up full time. We were lucky enough to meet Zac and hit it off immediately. In addition to his hilarious Stand up, Zac has been on College Humor’s “10 Great Stand Up Jokes from Up & Comers’ and written satire for The Hard Times. We have no doubt that Zac will make it in the comedy business with his talents. Zac has written some amazing spec scripts for Always Sunny in Philadelphia that you can check out on his website Smacktownsend.com in addition to his own pilot. His contributions to Zebra Corner include The Daytona 500 parody, the Egg Sitter, and many more. Zac’s joke writing & roasting ability has been a great addition to the Team. You got a light?

Kyle Ruse @Kyle_Ruse

Aka Cousin Rory from the Chevy Family Reunion Parody. We met Kyle when we first started doing stand up in the Tampa Bay area. From writing jokes to roasts, Kyle is known for his hard hitting style of offensive comedy. Kyle has an incredible knack for creating clever punchlines and working the toughest rooms other comics would get eaten alive at. A tattoo artist by day (fun fact: That Airborne tattoo on Dave’s arm was done by Kyle), Kyle is never short of stories and material when it comes to his brand of comedy and is one of the original contributing writers for Zebra Corner. He’s is currently doing stand up all over the country and it’s only a matter of time before Kyle makes it big. So make sure to catch him before those ticket prices go up. Check out Kyleruse.com for more of his comedy and artwork. No I don’t want to sell Oxys with you Rory.

James Bailey @JamesBaileyhaha

James Bailey is the first contributing writer for Zebra Corner we ever had. Helping write lines for our Bachelor parody, it was that moment we knew he’d be a helpful addition to the team. Originally from Wisconsin, we met James very early in our stand up career and have become good friends ever since. We’ve done everything from stand up to roasts to even improv with James. His comedy perspective is different from the rest of the writers which is why he’s an extremely helpful addition to the crew. We have no doubt he’ll be working in a comedy room sometime in the future. James is currently doing stand up in the Florida area.

Chris Matson @ChrisRMatson

Chris is the newest addition to the Zebra Corner crew.
Chris is a stand-up comic based in the Tampa Bay area. He began his stand-up career skipping night classes at the University of South Florida to perform in open mics all over the Bay Area and Central Florida. In 2009, he was a finalist in the “Florida’s Funniest Person Contest”, a finalist in the “Big Bang Talent Show Season 1”, and was featured in many Tampa Improv showcases including “Tampa’s Unfamous Funniest” and “Comedy From The Road Less Traveled”. Chris was voted Winner of the “Clash of the Comics 2010” and has shared the stage with such comedians as Maria Bamford, Eddie Brill, Josh Blue, and Tom Green. Chris has already been a helpful addition to the team and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
